ACLA/CAAL member Danielle Guénette passed away on February 27, 2015. Danielle, an associate professor in Education at l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) was a wonderful mentor, colleague, teacher, and friend to many in the ACLA/CAAL community and beyond. She will be greatly missed and we extend our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones.
Danielle’s friends and colleagues at UQAM have set up a scholarship fund in her memory. This fund will provide a yearly scholarship to the student with the highest grade point average at the end of the third year in the four-year undergraduate program in Teaching English as a Second Language at UQAM.
